Sam + Zach | Elopement at Powel Crosley Estate

This elopement at Powel Crosley Estate is the perfect example of how some love stories are truly worth the wait. After not one, but two hurricanes caused them to postpone Sam & Zach’s wedding (and almost a third threatened to do the same!), their big day finally arrived… and, no surprise, it couldn’t have been more magical. From the emotional first look, to the private ceremony, and then the sunset picnic on the beach… it was a dream to photograph.

Their elopement took place at the stunning Powel Crosley Estate, one of my favorite venues here in Florida.

The Spanish-style architecture, winding ornate staircases, and lush gardens created the perfect backdrop for their day to finally unfold. Sam looked so timeless in her chic white gown. It was a fitted silhouette with a long train. PERFECTION. Paired with her soft waves and natural makeup, she was truly glowing. And Zach looked sharp in his classic black suit. The were the perfect combo for this day.

What made this day even more special was how laid-back and joyful it felt. After all the stress of rescheduling and weather delays, they were simply so excited to finally be married.

Zach’s response to their first look was one of my favorite parts of the day. He was elated and so tearful to see his girl as his bride! We took photos all over the estate before landing on the stairs for their private ceremony.

Honeslty, it was so special to see them tie the knot in a private ceremony on the steps of the villa. They mixed sand together as a symbol of intertwining their lives, and shared a first kiss as husband and wife. (Yes, i teared up behind my camera).

And can I just say how perfect the outdoor steps at the Powel Crosley Estate are for a small ceremony? The photos turned out SO good. I loved this unassuming location that really gave them that quiet, intimate vibe they were dreaming of.

Following their ceremony, the two of them snuck away for something a little different: a private beachside dinner on Longboat Key. Talk about dreamy! A sweet table was set up under a fringed umbrella, decorated with vibrant florals in shades of orange, peach, and blue. Candles flickered as waves rolled gently in the background… I mean… talk about a romantic atmosphere!! They shared dinner and cake, and ended the evening by popping another bottle right on the sand. Their laughter was infectious. I loved capturing them celebrating, and soaking in the start of their married life together.

I loved everything about their day. It wasn’t about big crowds or timelines, it was about the two of them. About finally getting to call each other husband and wife. Being there to capture it all was such an honor, and I couldn’t be happier for these two.
