When I tell you that I could shoot weddings like this one at Sidney Berne Davis Art Center every. single. day…. I really mean it. This elegant black & white color scheme paired with the infectious joy of Sam & Rob? The perfect recipe.

Sam and Rob are such a blast to be around. From the very beginning, they knew they wanted their wedding to feel easy and fun. That’s why they actually held a private church ceremony the day before their wedding. So when the big day rolled around, all they had to do was party, hug their favorite people, and soak up every second. As a Florida wedding photographer: I approve of this plan.

The Sidney Berne Davis Art Center is one of my favorite venues because it’s a blank canvas that couples can really make their own. Here is another wedding I shot there recently!

Sam and Rob went for a chic, timeless vibe that was seriously jaw-dropping. With elegant black and white elements throughout the entire day, punctuated by fun elements (like disco balls on the reception tables)… this was a day to remember.

Samantha looked absolutely radiant in her strapless sweetheart gown with a sheer cutout bodice. It was modern, elegant, and totally her. Their bridal party wore sleek black dresses and suits, which not only looked incredibly classy, but also made the whole day feel elevated and cohesive.

They got ready for their celebration day in private suites. Sam did a first look for her bridesmaids. Which is something I see a lot now, and I’m here for it.

Then the newlyweds did their own first look outside the Art Center, and it was just as loving and emotional and joy-filled as these two always are! We took some time and took portraits around the venue, so once the ceremony & reception started - these two were free to just let loose & enjoy their day.

When it came time to say “I Do,” they stood under a stunning arch of cream hydrangeas against a dramatic dark backdrop.

This just perfected complimented their elegant black and white theme for the day!

Sam and Rob didn’t just plan a wedding… they crafted an experience that was totally theirs. One of my favorite details? They blew up their engagement photos and displayed them throughout the reception. Not only was it a fun way to personalize the space, but it also gave their guests a chance to revisit some of their love story.

And then there was the band. Let me tell you: they were incredible. The energy was electric from the very first note, and the dance floor stayed packed all night long. From sweet slow dances to all-out singalongs, everyone had a blast (myself included, I couldn’t stop smiling behind the camera & bopping along).

Of course, no epic dance party is complete without late-night snacks, and Sam and Rob nailed it. They surprised their guests with pizza in custom boxes just for their wedding. Because what better way to keep the energy going than with everyone’s favorite comfort food? Sam changed into a reception dress that was the perfect elevated t-shirt dress for dancing.

As a Florida wedding photographer, it’s not just about the pretty details (though let’s be real, this wedding had plenty). It’s about the way a couple’s personality shows up in every choice they make. Sam and Rob absolutely nailed that balance of elegance, fun, and authenticity.

I left their wedding day thinking, If I could book 100 more couples like these two, I’d be the happiest photographer ever.
