Sydney + Trace | Jupiter Island Engagement Session

Some couples you meet and immediately click with. Trace and Sydney were absolutely one of those couples! Their Jupiter Island engagement session was the perfect mix of beautiful Florida scenery, lots of laughs, and plenty of time for these two to just enjoy being together.

They’re getting married next May at PGA National Resort in Palm Beach Gardens! And after spending time with them during their engagement session, I am SO excited for their wedding day!

I already know it’s going to be a SUCH a fun day.

Also, there is also a fun little connection to their wedding venue. I photographed a wedding at PGA National Resort back in January. (Shout out to Liv & Kobe!!!) Sydney’s dad happened to be at the resort while I was there and loved everything he saw. Fast forward a bit, and they booked the venue! And then booked me! How cool is that?!

The coastline gave us SO much to work with during golden hour this evening. We wandered along the beach, explored the rocky shoreline, and stopped at the wooden boardwalk surrounded by tall sea grass.

There was something so laid-back and chill about the whole evening. It comes from these two! They are so comfortable and relaxed with each other. You can tell they are best friends who fell in love and want to start a life together. As a Florida wedding photographer, this always inspires me when I’m behind my camera.

Sydney and Trace nailed the beach session outfit vibe.

Sydney wore a gorgeous white, floor-length dress with a high neckline and an open back. It was simple, but so elegant. I loved the way it moved in the ocean breeze. (Here’s a similar one if you want one for your engagement session!)

Trace had a classic look with a white linen button-down and light-colored pants. The neutral color palette was perfect against the blue water and warm Florida light. For beach photos, I will always love a neutral outfit moment. It keeps so cohesive, while letting the location do its thing.

Trace and Sydney are from the Outer Banks of North Carolina, and Trace loves boating and spearfishing. My husband (who will be the second photographer at their wedding!), is also a big fan of both! So I have a feeling those two are going to get along great!
